Spirituality -VS- Religion

Spirituality -VS- Religion

Recently wh?n someone a?ked m? what religion I am I was perplexed.

To ?e a religion means you h?ld a particular doctrine. I thought about it all day and could not com? ?p w?th an? doctrine that I hold as a religion.

The only religious do?trine I ?ight hold is that If it exists than God created it and I believe in it. I believe in God becaus? as I look at lif? I see duality in all things, ?ale and female. I ?ee cycles and things that ?ork and operate together. I feel if life was n?t created ?y a high intelligenc? than the things that e?ist would ?e cha?tic. mut?ted and n?t abl? to ?ork together.

Because I do not affiliate with a religion doe? not mean that I am not spir?tual. I am constantly going in?ard and d? not rely on others answers, beliefs, opinions and rem?dys. I seek what ?s right for me.

What is spirituality t? me ? As the mind moves a?ay f?om the connecti?ns and chao? ?f everyday life (towards the silence wit?in), the senses utilize higher mental and spiritual f?culties able to provid? a more direct perception of the universal knowledge base of illuminations, intuitions and revelat?ons. By moving de?per with?n this silence of ?ur consciousne?s (away fr?m our feelings, emotions, judgment? and prejudices), we enter into ? realm of pure rational thought whe?e integr?l knowledge and understanding are abundant.

I find t?at when ?e ?old a doctrine it separates us not only from each other ?ut from God and ourselves. It put? li?its on us and traps us ?n dogma. Throug? the?e limits w? stagnate because of tunnel vi?ion. Sin?e God's truth is too ?uch for u? to fath?m ( grasp ) at one time and must ?e learned line upon l?ne and precept upon precept, by shutting out other tr?ths ?e begin to di? spiritually. How c?uld anyone think they know and h?ld ?ll the truth ?f God ? Thi? is in fact ?hat ? religiou? doctrine is telling ourselves and others, th?t we ?ave not?ing more to lea?n or t? accomplish. We than begin to judge those ?ho do not hold ou? particular doctrin? as anti God.

The dis?overy of deeper tr?ths are attainable wh?n we overcome ?ur eg? and se?arateness. Silence within enables knowledge, cle?r thinking, insight, and ulti?ately t?e whole truth we are seeking. When we dwell within the silence we experience ?ow w? ar? one ?ith the ?hole ?f cosmic consciousness.
