Deep Space UFO

Designing A Deep Space UFO.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS:

Our UFO m?st b? large enoug? to ?ouse ? human crew of 10 or 12 comfortably f?r ? long period of ti?e (s?veral months). It must contain life support systems, food ?nd water ?rocessing equipment, nav?gation equipment, medi?al facilities, recreati?n facilitie?, waste recycling f?cilities, science and photographic div?sions, mess ?rea, slee?ing quarters, storage f?r exploratory ?quipment and vehicles, ?nd the control, communication? and engineering spaces.

POWER SOURCE:

We will install ? pow?r source t?at renders th? vehicle massless while in flight (anti-mass field) and is also capable ?f driving the UFO at near light speeds. It s?ould b? small ?nough to be located ?n a central a?ea n?ar the contr?l ?nd engineering spaces, and s?mple enough ?n design to ?e attended b? no m?re than ?ne or tw? technicians.

ACCESS REQUIREMENTS:

A central ladder o? a lift powered by the eng?ne should ?un t?e entire de?th ?f th? sphere. This eliminates space and weight consuming stair wells and will provide e?sy and ?apid access to all de?ks and spaces. E?ch separate di?ision sh?uld b? accessible to any other two adjoining divis?ons ?y access doors. Ac?ess do?rs, hatches and scuttles mu?t be airtight to pr?tect the rest of th? vehi?le in the event of ? disaster.

Life su?port systems, elect?ical systems ?nd comfort syst?ms such as air conditioning ?nd ventilation will be centrally located ne?r th? lift and easily accessible in th? e?ent ?f failure.

DESIGN REQUIREMENTS:

Our space veh?cle must b? constructed of ? durabl?, lightweig?t materi?l that will p?otect it? inha?itants f?om solar and cosmic radiation ?nd impacts from small objects. It must be airtight and watertight, capable ?f tr?veling through space ?r under the deepest oceans.

It should have no weight o? space consuming landing gear and b? capable ?f ho?ering inch?s fr?m the ground f?r indefinite periods of time as long a? the power is on. Th? h?ll mu?t be constructed ?f ? mat?rial t?at will withstand ve?y high temperatures while moving through dense atmosp?eres. It m?st be cap?ble of withst?nding t?e sub-zero temperatures ?f deep spac? or distant planets. Exploratory equip?ent sho?ld be located ne?r t?e botto? of th? hull and an acc?ss h?tch should ?e provid?d for loading and off-loading ?ersonnel, s?mples and mac?ines ?s necessary.

If our scienc? i? fa? enough advanced, we might have n? exteri?r access doors ?t all but wo?ld be?m o?jects and beings aboard or off load vehi?les by ?eans ?f ? matter transporter. T?e UFO m?ght hav? ?iew ?orts f?r direct line of s?ght observation. Ideally, however, we wo?ld u?e VCASS vi?wing simulator? in tw? o? th?ee dimensions, ?n color or project?d as holograms to the control deck.

Since ?ur vehicle can appear and disappear ?t near light speeds, no weapons would b? required, e?cept, perhaps, some s?dearms f?r personnel w?en disembarked for planeta?y exploration wh?n kno?n hostil? inhabitants ?re w?ndering ab?ut the area. The? should be considered last-effort defense we?pons only. Stun-guns, pe?haps, or psychological inhib?tors of ?ome sort. No aggressive weapon? would ?e requir?d since we could simpl? vani?h in the event we might be detect?d and set ?pon b? alien ?ir forces.

COMMUNICATIONS:

Since our vehicle would be moving ?t n?ar light speeds most of t?e time, communications wit? the ?ome planet would be difficult unles? w? could eithe? develop ? s?gnal accelerator o? lea?n t? communicate by telepathy ?ver vast distances.

Honing ?ur latent t?lepathic communication skills would virtually elim?nate the n?ed for radios and intercom systems within the ship. Each person would know pre?isely what to do every moment simply by tuning ?n to t?e other crew members.

Honing teleportation skills would eliminat? th? n?ed fo? a m?chine to mo?e ?s into ?nd out of t?e v?hicle. If one want?d to ent?r the ship, they w?uld th?nk ?t ?nd it would be done. Of course, they w?uld h?ve to be able to ?ass thro?gh solid objects in ?rder to a?complish this feat, so learning to transmigrate would b? helpful.

Performing transmutation would b? a bo?n t? our crew. If each membe? could alter their ?irtual shape or appearance_becoming ? grey figure with ? large head and ?uge o?al eyes, for instance_we could prevent inhabitants of th? planets we visit from discov?ring o?r true vulnerable forms, ?ur true mortal selves.

In t?me we might be abl? to d? away with the s?ip completely and simply whisk our?elves to any planet in the kno?n uni?erse at thought spe?d. But for now_between 1992 and 2020_let's concentrate on building and living a?oard our re?arkable UFO ?s ?e journey int? de?p space to explore and plunder the near planets ?f ?ur own ?olar system.

The spac? medicine required to ?eep u? h?althy in spa?e ?as already been develop?d. Food processing devices and waste recycling ma?hines hav? graduated f?om te?t benc? items to piece? of practical hardware. Our communications devices ?re just ?dequate fo? the task of transmitting and r?ceiving messages between Earth and Mars or beyond.

Scientists and engineers ?now the general shape ?nd design of future space craft and t?ey've de?eloped most of the materials to u?e in their const?uction. Teachers are alive and well and future astronaut? are being ?orn at the r?te of several h?ndred every minute. About the ?nly th?ng preventing 20th Cent?ry humans from leaping away from Earth en masse is the powe? source which ?ill allow b?th masslessn?ss and acceleration t? ne?r light speeds. I suggest thi? will ?e one and t?e sam? p?wer source.

The anti-mass field generator o? Casc?de G?nerator ?ill render anything within its field virtually massless, thu? a few ounces of th?ust would b? eno?gh to propel the ?raft in one direction or another. Seve?al thous?nd pounds of th?ust could cause ?t to accelerate t? near light spe?ds w?th no harmful effects upon th? crew. It w?uld be a total inertial system, effect?ng everything en?ompassed equally.

Several countr?es ar? eagerly exploring anti-mass field engines, ?ost n?tably Jap?n and Ger?any. Their subsonic commuter tr?ins ar? d?iven by power sources onl? a discover? or two awa? from the Cascade Generator. Whil? t?ey hav? not overc?me mass ?r inertia, they have succeeded in overcoming the great?st t?rrestrial ?ugaboo ?f all: frict?on. Their trains ride on ?n invisible cushion of electro-magnetic fo?ce that eparates the enor?ous weight ?f th? train from t?e track? by ? fracti?n ?f ? millimete?. It literally ride? suspended ?n the air above the tracks.

Forward ?otion i? achiev?d by changing t?e magnetic f?eld of the coils ?n the track at incredible speeds, alternat?ng positive and negative to pull the train along, on? magn?t (the tr?ck) p?lling the other (the train). A similar device, refined to prevent ?ass, could ?ropel o?r UFO s?meday. Not an anti-gravity device (whi?h ?as ?o far proven unsatisfactory), ?ut an anti-mass dev?ce projected to t?e hull from a central point, the AMF would allow extre?e maneuvers in any direction instantly.
